Cancellation & Refund Policy
Course Cancellations by TrailWise Training
If TrailWise Training needs to cancel a course due to weather, instructor illness, low registration, facility issues, or other unforeseen circumstances, participants will be offered either:

A full refund, or
-
A transfer to another available course date
Participants will be notified as soon as possible by email.
Refunds & Transfers
Due to small class sizes, equipment preparation, and course administration costs, refunds are generally not available once registration is confirmed.
Participants may request to transfer to another course date under the following conditions:

Transfer requests made 7 or more days before the course date may be completed at no charge, subject to availability.

Transfer requests made 3–6 days before the course date may be subject to a $25 administration fee.

Transfer requests made less than 48 hours before the course may not be eligible for transfer and may forfeit course fees.
All transfer requests are subject to course availability.
Transfer eligibility is valid for up to one year from the original course date.
No Shows & Late Arrivals
Participants who do not attend their course without prior notice will forfeit all course fees.
Due to certification requirements and course timing standards, participants arriving more than 15 minutes late to a first aid course may not be permitted to join the course and may forfeit their registration fee.
Extenuating circumstances may be considered at the instructor’s discretion.
Outdoor Programs & Weather
Outdoor programs run in a variety of weather conditions unless conditions are deemed unsafe by the instructor.
Participants are responsible for arriving prepared with appropriate clothing, footwear, food, water, and any required personal equipment outlined in the course information.
TrailWise Training reserves the right to modify program locations, timelines, or activities due to weather, trail conditions, air quality, or safety concerns.
